Rick joined Altacrest after having spent 14 years in investment banking at JPMorgan, primarily focused on advising large consumer and retail brands like Cabela’s, Yakima Bike Racks, Yankee Candle, GNC, Wolverine Boots, Payless Shoes, and Lord and Taylor. Later, for 4 years, Rick operated an omnichannel consumer brand backed by private equity as interim CEO, then COO, where he was responsible for vendor relations, sales, product development, inventory forecasting, and compliance. Channels serviced included proprietary website, Amazon, Home Depot, Homedepot.com, Ducks Unlimited, Walmart.com, and various specialty retailers.
Rick has been married for over 20 years and enjoys spending time with wife and boy-girl twins, who sadly soon will fly the coup. Rick enjoys fishing, hunting, golf, and pretends he is younger than he is (he’s not young) by playing guitar in a regularly gigging Grateful Dead / Allman Brothers cover band in Dallas.
Rick holds a BA from the University of Virginia and a MS from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
